Chalybeate Trout Fishery

Off the beaten track, on the privately owned Eridge Estate and amidst countryside that has been unaffected by time, you will find trout fishing as it used to be.

We provide a well stocked, stream-fed water with both Rainbow and Brown trout between 2lb 8ozs and 8lbs. Some of the original wild Brown trout, that still breed in the stream, can be seen rising gently to the abundant natural fly life or cruising through reeded margins stalking an underwater meal.

To relax there is a comfortable fishing lodge. The owner Jim Streeter is in attendance at all times and will be more than pleased to welcome you and advise on the tactics of the day. Tea and coffee is provided and there are toilet facilities.
